THE MONTH OF OCTOBER

It is hard to believe that the month of October is almost over.  Before we know it we will be into the holiday season.  This month  has been filled with many exciting activities at West Madison.  Just last week we had the Silly Sting Showdown.  It was so much fun.  The kids had been telling me as well as the teachers all day, "You are going down!"  Well....we were all spraying silly string all over each other that afternoon.  The PTA was having a hard time taking pictures because they too were being spread with silly string.

On Friday, It was Chuck-E-Cheese Night for West Madison.  Guess who we got a visit from....yes Mr. Chuck-E...himself.

October is Fire Safety Month.  The kids in grades K-3 went through the Smoke house.  The firemen talked to the students about fire safety and what they should do in case of a fire in their house.  The firemen even stayed and had lunch with our students.

On Thursday, the 5th and 6th grade went back into the 1980's for the 5th/6th Grade Social.  It was great.  The kids and the teachers had a great time.

Last but not least, I would like to send a big CONGRATULATIONS to our Math Team!

They won 3rd Place at the Cedar Ridge Math Competition this Weekend.  Congratulations to the team and to Mrs. Lawrence, their sponsor.
