A West Madison Special Invite:
West Madison Students Honor Parent Veterans
Parents, we want to honor you!
We will be honoring all parents who are Veterans on Monday November 10 at 7:40 in the gym. If you are a Veteran and able to attend, please contact Mrs. Wendy Tibbs at 256-837-1189 or wtibbs@madisoncity.k12.al.us. Everyone is asked to wear red, white and blue.
District Accreditation
Madison City Schools is in the process of going through District Accreditation this year. The first item for completion in this process was the Stakeholder Feedback Surveys. Thank you so much for completing the surveys for us in August. The results gave us valuable information about our school and school system. We are now in the process of organizing a parent group to assist us in the completion of our school self assessment.
Please make plans to attend the meeting on Oct. 27 at 5:30 PM in the Library at West Madison. We will lead a discussion of our self assessment completed by teacher groups based on 5 standards; Purpose and Direction, Governance and Leadership, Teaching and Assessing for Learning, Resources and Support Systems and Using Results for Continuous Improvement. If you are interested in helping us with this process, please make plans to attend meetings.
We will also have a Principal Breakfast on Oct. 28 at 9:00 in the Library. We will discuss our goals for the year, school wide test results and answer any questions you may have. Please make plans to attend these events. It takes all of us to make West Madison the best in the district. :)
