Look What's Happening at West Madison
The week began with a 6th grade student meeting with Mrs. Barkley, the principal and Mrs. Moody, the counselor from Discovery Middle School.
Sixth Graders were really excited after hearing about the many options they will have in middle school.
On Wednesday, Fourth Graders visited the capitol of Alabama, Montgomery! It was an exciting trip. They got to meet with several representatives. They went into the gallery to see what happens in the Alabama Legislature. They went to the Rosa Parks museum and ended with a riverboat ride. It was a great day of learning about our history.
There was the word find, that had no words, just random letters.
There was the pan of brownies.....(brown E's).
There were the students who got (pretended) to be hurt in a (pretend) fight. (This was the highlight of Mrs. Miller and Allen's day).
It was truly a fun day.
Thursday, was wear blue day for Autism day. The 5th graders all participated.
Thank you 5th Graders, 5th grade teachers and Ms. Bryan!
